Evolution of Eden Series: Pushing the Limits of Performance and Flying Experience

Eden 8 is a semi-light glider with a 3/2 hybrid line configuration. It delivers an outstanding combination of performance and user-friendliness within the Hi-End B category. The high level of pilot comfort, combined with excellent performance, offers great potential for long XC flights—features that will undoubtedly be appreciated not only by experienced XC pilots.

Enhancements That Will Delight

What makes Eden 8 different?
At first glance, the entirely new canopy design stands out, distinguishing Eden 8 from its predecessors and the competition.

Pilots will appreciate improved response at the top of the controls, which is precise with reduced control pressure. This results in instinctive maneuverability and improved climb rates in thermals. Even narrow thermal cores can be easily used with a large safety margin.

New technologies inspired by the Verve glider provide great performance, stability, and agility, bringing its performance closer to higher-category gliders. Nitinol rods-reinforcements help maintain the aerodynamic purity of the canopy and preserve its performance—even when packed carelessly.

Another innovation in the Eden series is the addition of winglets—small yet sophisticated components that play a crucial role in lateral stabilization. At higher speeds, pilots need to make fewer corrections to the canopy’s lateral movements. By reducing drag from angle-of-attack adjustments and harness oscillations, overall glider performance is significantly increased. In demanding conditions, you can enjoy a more stable and directionally smoother flight.

For performance-oriented pilots who frequently use the speed system, the improved B/C control system is a welcome addition, allowing for control similar to two-liner gliders from higher categories.

As is customary with MAC PARA gliders, launches remain easy, smooth and intuitive.

Technological Advancements, Aerodynamic Optimization & Safety

At MAC PARA TECHNOLOGY, we continuously strive to innovate and refine our technologies to ensure each model delivers the best possible flight characteristics. Eden 8 is a perfect example of this philosophy—where even seemingly minor improvements result in higher performance, easier handling, and increased confidence in flight.

Our development team has carefully selected premium materials that offer a perfect balance of durability, lightness, and longevity. The use of nitinol rods with varying diameters is strategically distributed across the wingspan and profiles, ensuring optimal stiffness and high safety levels.

Eden

The innovative shape of the wingtips and the stabilization of the air intakes contribute to the optimization of induced drag. The leading edge is reinforced with the RFE system and together with the mini-ribs on the trailing edge, they significantly contribute to the aerodynamic cleanliness and performance of the canopy.

The addition of winglets helps maintain lateral stability, even in active air, while reducing undesirable yaw and roll movements—ensuring higher stability and pilot comfort.

Who is the Eden 8 for?

The Eden 8 is suitable for frequent flyers with XC ambitions who possess a higher level of glider control skills. Suitable for the pilot who wants dynamic, precision and agility in controls from his glider, while offering high safety margins.

Be yourself…
